Uber Ruler
Tired of painting wobbly horizon lines and telegraph poles? Then buy one of these! My proudest innovation :)
Lowe Alpine AirZone Trail 35
Everything I need for plein air fits in here nicely. Tripod and Uber Ruler in one side pocket, water bottle on the other.
12 x 10” Box
The only painting box I’ve ever used. Lightweight, strong and holds brushes, paints and a spare 12x10” board.
Mounting plate
You’ll need to attach this into the base of your painting box then screw in your tripod quick release mounting plate.
Double dipper
clip on dipper pots for your medium. I screw an L-bracket into the side of my box then slide the dipper onto that.
Leak proof brush washer
‘Nuff said.
Distilled Turps
The main ingredient of painting medium.
Refined Linseed Oil
Thicken your painting medium with a splosh of this. I like a 7-1 ratio of Turps to linseed oil.
Siccative
A little of this will speed up drying time. Careful, it’s powerful!
Wallce Seymour Oil Colour
Wonderful oil paint. I had enough of Winsor Newton and switched to this stuff.
Evergreen Longer Filberts
After buying and using pretty much every oil brush on Rosemary & Co, I’ve settled on these. They’re more durable than natural hair, yet have a nice spring to them. The “longer” aspect also helps with the feel.
Blue Roll
So useful! And cheaper than Kitchen roll.
