BIOGRAPHY

Born in 1979, Tom was raised in Oxfordshire in the small village of Ewelme. This beautiful setting provided a serene, natural environment that let his artist talent flourish. Surrounded by quiet lanes and woodlands, he had the freedom to explore and develop a strong aesthetic instinct, building a solid foundation that would fuel his practise and visual curiosity as an adult.

Tom’s work has been selected for many national art exhibitions including three showings at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, four selections for The Lynn Painter Stainers Prize and in 2014, was shortlisted for the BP Portrait Prize. He has had two solo shows in St James’s, London.

His paintings have won multiple awards including prizes from The Discerning Eye and the coveted Critics Prize from the New English Art Club.

He lives and works in Bristol, UK and is currently working on a collection of botanical paintings focussing on the other-worldly aesthetics of foreign plants on British soil.
