Zoom Workshops

The weather's grim... it's dark, it's cold, it's wet... So what could be better than putting your feet up the cup of tea and watching me complete a small studio painting in a couple of hours over zoom!? I'll deep dive into the technical aspects of everything I'm doing as I do it and you can ask me questions at any time.

If you're interested in joining one of these zoom meetings, let me know via email your availability and I will add you to the list and send out an email with dates and times for the first workshop. It will be between Monday and Friday and and will last around 2 hours somewhere between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You won’t need anything more than a few colours to paint along with me. A basic selection would be Titanium White, any bright yellow, Alizarin Crimson, French Ultramarine and Burnt Umber. I mix a cool brown and a black from a mix of Ultramarine and Burnt Umber.

I paint on 28 x 22cm oil primed boards boards that are pre-stained with a light wash of an Ultramarine and Burnt Umber mix. This ground should be totally dry before starting the painting. An acrylic gesso primed board with an acrylic ground is perfectly fine too. Watch the second half of my gear and materials video for more info.
